Bad 800x600 screen resolution when installing Ubuntu 7.04 beta (Feisty Fawn)

When booting the LiveCD, some monitors are incorrectly detected. Something is wrong with the DDC handling. The resolution is only 800x600 and the "screen resolution" applet in the "system" menu only give the choice between 640x480 and 800x600.

This resolution is insuffisant to use the install icon because the bottom of the windows are hidden.

A very simple way to solve this problem is to boot the LiveCD while the monitor is disconnected. You can disconnect the monitor just after the langage selection and reconnect it when the CD drive stops. You should then have a 1024x768 resolution.
